Summer Reading and Someday List

Hi All,

Thanks for a wonderful 4th Grade Reading Group and encouraging connection and conversation around good books.  To keep this going I wanted to provide this document of a Someday List.

Kids can use this resource to keep lists of books they would like to read someday or recommend books to others. This chart provides a place for the title of a book, the author, notes about what they know about the book, and who recommended it to them.

I hope also all of our children make a goal to read a certain number of books or specific books in different genres this summer.  4-5 is usually good and we have been reading a book about every two weeks.

Here are the final questions.

Maybe you could have your son discuss them with you?

Final Questions:

1. How does Eric escape the black hole?

2. Now that you have finished reading the book, identify the protagonist (the main character) and antagonist (the person the protagonist struggles against). What are some of the conflicts, or struggles, in this story?
